Master Payroll Changes Template Overview
A walkthrough of the Master Payroll Changes Template utilized by Managed Services Clients and their Payroll Consultants
Introduction
The Master Payroll Template is utilized by your Payroll Consultant to import essential data into your Namely Payroll instance. Once imported this information fed by the system into your current Pay Cycle to be processed. As that is the case, it is essential to fill out this template accurately.
The following quick start guide will walk you through the different sections of the Template and explain how to fill it out effectively.
Additional Earnings
One Time
To be used to import one time Additional Earnings for your employees. This can include items like Bonuses, Back Pay, or other one off issues requiring an additional pay to correct.
The required information for this section includes:

Employee Name

The Name of the employee receiving the pay

Employee Number

The employee's ID number within Namely Payroll

Earnings Name

The name of the additional earning being paid out

Payroll Pay Date

The date of the pay cycle the additional pay will be included in

Any notes you want your Payroll Consultant to be aware of in relation to this item.

Recurring
To be used to import recurring Additional Earning for your employees. This can include items like a Reimbursement for a Cell Phone plan, a Transit credit, or other recurring items that require additional pay.
Unlike the One Time section above, this import would only be require once per additional recurring earning. So if an employee needs a Cell Phone Reimbursement, this Additional Earning would only need to be imported into the system once, after that Namely Payroll would automatically apply the earning to each pay cycle the employee was included in.

Deduction Changes
One Time
To be used to import One Time Deduction Changes for your employees. This can include items like reimbursing the company for unapproved funds spent by the employee on a company card, correcting for an overpaid wage, or any other item requiring a one off deduction of funds from an employee's check.

The Name of the employee receiving the pay

Recurring
To be used to import recurring Deductions for your employees. This can include items like an additional medical benefit deduction, a wage garnishment, or any other item requiring an ongoing deduction of funds from an employee's wage/
Unlike the One Time section above, this import would only be require once per Deduction. So if an employee needs a Child new medical deduction added, this Deduction would only need to be imported into the system once, after that Namely Payroll would automatically apply the Deduction to each pay cycle the employee was included in.

This section is not used for imports, but rather is a way to add in any additional information or reminders that you'd like to directly share with your Payroll Consultant. Think of it as a way to provide extra context or notes to your Payroll Consultant if its needed.
